About the sewing: Do not pre-wash prior to making. There's no requirement to use an overlocker/serger with any Bubs & Bobbins kits, although, if you do have one, it makes beautiful sense to use it. Otherwise, finishing and trimming with traditional methods (scissors and good old zig-zag stitch) is perfectly perfect!
Seriously though, our kits are the easiest in the world to sew and are perfect for beginners and experienced sewists alike!

About the fabric: Both the print and plain fabric is 100% cotton knit. It really is the softest, comfiest fabric for your wee Bub and, as with all types of cotton, it launders beautifully on a cool wash, with minimal ironing, if any (that's one job less for busy mums).
